Is there a way to hide block settings based on roles. Sometimes you want a consistent look for paragraphs and headings ..etc. throughout the site and don’t want the user to break the design by adding own colors and font sizes.

Great to hear you are already working this feature. Would you also please consider the ability to hide other settings on the gutenberg editor such as permalink, featured image, discussion, .. etc.

Yes, those main options will come first.

Hiding block settings will be in a later release.
