 * I have enabled hide backend feature but it only seems to be worked on wp-admin(
   for example, [http://test.com/wp-admin](http://test.com/wp-admin)) but not wp-
   login (for example [http://test.com/wp-login](http://test.com/wp-login)).
 * In short, when a visitors visited “[http://test.com/wp-admin&#8221](http://test.com/wp-admin&#8221);,
   it will redirect to 404 error but when a visitors can login through “[http://test.com/wp-login&#8221](http://test.com/wp-login&#8221);.
 * According to iTheme Security Hide Backend Features, “Hides the login page (wp-
   login.php, wp-admin, admin and login) making it harder to find by automated attacks
   and making it easier for users unfamiliar with the WordPress platform.”
 * My blog does not allow any user registration, therefore, I don’t want wp-admin
   and wp-login exposed to the public. So, is there anyway to fix it?
 * Thank you

 * 1. wp-login.php -> check
    2. wp-admin -> check 3. admin -> check 4. login ->
   check 5. (not listed but) dashboard -> check
 * **ALL** 5 default WordPress login page slugs are blocked.
 * wp-login is not a default WordPress login page slug …

 * [@dwinden](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dwinden/), I’m not sure why you
   said wp-login is not default slug. I have installed a fresh WordPress (without
   any plugin installed and default themes) on my test domain and I can login through
   wp-login.
 * Here is my test WordPress site: [http://qwe123qwe.ga/wp-login](http://qwe123qwe.ga/wp-login)
 * Is there anything I can do to block wp-login (redirect to other slug)? As I mentioned
   in my first post, it’s a private blog (no membership registration), therefore
   I want to hide (redirect) all possible login slug.

 * Because it’s not.
 * The fact that wp-login gives access to the login page is a web server issue at
   your hosting provider. If properly configured wp-login will not give access to
   the WordPress Dashboard login page.
 * Try it on several environments at different hosting providers (if possible) and
   you’ll see …
