• Is there a way to not only hide the content of an alert box, but also the box itself? I only see a short code option for the entire page or the text content.. nothing for the containers or elements. If not, I’m wondering if there is a workaround you can think of. For example, I’m wanting a dismissable alert box on our homepage, letting people know that we will be closed on a holiday. I want that alert to automatically go away the day after the holiday so that our website does not appear outdated. Any help is much appreciated!

    Define “alert box”.

And yes, Timed Content only hides content in a page or post. Nothing else.

The alert box is an element option in wordpress. I use the Avada theme and can put an alert on our homepage that lays over the background image, at the top of the page.

I’ve never seen an “alert box” as an element option. Are you sure this is not just a theme specific element? Do you have an URL with an example where I can see this in action?

Hmm.. It possibly could be a theme-specific element option, but it sure doesn’t seem like it. I wish i could attach an image to this. Here is a link to our homepage, where I have an alert box positioned in the first container: http://centcu.org/

As I expected, that “alert box” is a custom element provided by the Fusion Builder.

Well – in this case I think I can’t help you. Timed Content only show or hide normal content and not custom elements which are not content within the page or post.

Technically: the “alert box” is a DIV element which is added to the output. I don’t know, how Fusion Builder integrates into posts or pages, but you need to put the “element” into a shortcode like this:

    [timed-content-rule id="123"]

Whatever this "alert box" is must go completele inside the timed content shortcode.

    [/timed-content-rule]

If this is not possible, then you can’t use Timed Content to hide these “alert boxes”.
