Hidden products still behaves as if they were there

Hi,
when a product is sold out, it is hidden on the page. But they still behaves as if they were there. There should be 20 products a page. On the first one there is 8, second one 4, then 0,1 and 3. Any idea how to fix this?

Are you using the inbuilt hide out-of-stock products setting?

Or did you add a custom snippet to hide them?

To take a deeper look, could you please share your store URL and and a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

This could be due to caching. Thus, I’d recommend purging all cache from your caching plugins and checking if the issue persists. You could also reach out to your host to flush server-side caching.

Could you please run a full conflict test to discard a conflict with your theme or with a plugin?

To do this, please temporarily switch your theme back to Storefront, disable all plugins except WooCommerce and repeat the action that is causing the problem. If that solves it, then re-enable all plugins one-by-one, until you find the one creating the conflict.

Just to confirm, have you reached out to your hosting provider to flush server-side caching? It is highly probable that this is a caching issue.

Hi,
yes, the server cache was also purged.
This is happening all the time when something is sold out and hidden by woocommerce.

Based on what you mentioned earlier, you’ve already tried conflict testing and with only WordPress, WooCommerce and the default Storefront theme the issue persists, correct?

That’s a bit strange though, and what you could do next is use the WooCommerce Tools available under WooCommerce > Status > Tools. For instance, you could clear transients and recount product terms – this can be useful if you change any settings that hide products from the catalog and have issues from that.

The following step would be to get back to your host’s support team and check if they have server logs with any useful information that can help figure out what may be causing this.
