Hi,
Can you confirm that you’ve bought, installed and activated WPML? (WPML.org)
That message shows up when WPML is not recognized to be activated. This could happen if the WPML folder name is anything different than “sitepress-multilingual-cms/sitepress.php” (there used to be some issues here regarding wrong named folder after a WPML update (contained version number)
Hope that helps 🙂
Cheers,
Jeroen
Thanks Jeroen,
Well spotted! That did the trick 🙂
Kind Regards
Ryan
Hi there, I have the same issue. The folder name is sitepress-multilingual-cms-2
But I cannot change it otherwise WPMl will not work at all anymore..
As a result your plugin is not working.. Could you please advise?
Hi Dennis,
You should be able to rename the plugin folder. You’re right that the WPML plugin will automatically be disabled as the plugin folder cannot be found anymore, but if you re-activate the plugin everything should work as before 😉
Unfortunately there is no other workaround to get the plugin working.
Hope that helps 🙂
Cheers,
Jeroen
Hi Jeroen,
Aha, got it. All okay now! Thanks Jeroen.
