Hero theme from Themetrust PSA

Had a client with the theme Hero from Themetrust installed decide to push the update button on his theme, which “updated” his theme to an entirely different theme (http://wordpress.org/themes/hero). I understand that the two were confused since they use the same name, but is there any way to stop Themetrust’s theme from detecting an update from another theme? Lost TONS of custom coding (not my project or it’d have been versioned).
