Hero Slider?

    Good Day;

    I am testing your BUSINESS IDEA theme, but do not see Appearance -> Customize -> Section: Hero -> Hero Settings . I am using the most current build v1.0.5 of the free version and I have confirmed that your table of features shows HERO SLIDER as being included in the free build.

    Am I missing something obvious? Do I need a plugin?

    Thoughts?

    Note that I am more than happy to buy this theme if that is what it takes to get the slider functional, but the feature list shows 2 slide images comes with the free version and that is all I need for this site. Thanks

    Hello @calgarytech,

    Sorry for the late response.

    We are providing Hero Slider feature in the free version. In this free version, We support only 2 slide images. But We have checked your website. You have not set your Home Page custom page template. So you are missing some of the theme features.

    Home Page Setup =>

    1. Create a new page give it the name “Home” and select FrontPage from right side Page Attribute settings. Click on Publish button to save this page.
    2. Go to Settings >> Reading >> and find static page settings and select your “Home” page that you have created.
    3. Save this setting to click on Save button.
    4. Now go to Appearance >> Customize >> Find Section: Hero Slider and more theme features.

    Perfect. Although had reviewed the page you sited, I was unaware of the Go to Settings >> Reading >> and find static page settings and select your “Home” page that you have created requirement. I had read the text but did not pay attention to the video which had many more instructions that the text did.

    I am up and I will almost certainly buy your theme in the coming days just to support you. Thanks for the help.

    Again, I must have missed something. The instructions you provided have been followed (unless I made a mistake), and while the slider is working, the home page is not displaying the page I wish to have under the slider and that is show stopper.

    Can you suggest what I may have done wrong?

    AFTER I get the home page working with the slider on top, I would like to figure out how to add a right column for a few widgets and I might also like to add 3 widgets between the slide and the home page, BUT both of these items are secondary today.

    Fantastic! I can’t thank you enough but I will buy your theme this weekend so that you get compensated for your efforts.

    Can you tell me if this will handle your future upgrades properly or will I have to go through some dance to keep it current?

    After working on this some more, I also just purchased a single copy directly through your site and logged a followup ticket #IBP-637065 about thinning the header graphic on pages other than the home page.

    If this all works out I will buy one more license for me and another through one of my clients, as promised.
