  • Hi Sparen,

Your header slider remains saved in database. Since the latest version of Sydney has updated header structure, what you need to do after updating is to re-enable full screen header slider by going to Appearance menu > Customize > Hero Area > Hero Type > choose “Full screen slider” for Front page header type and/or Site header type; and save your changes.

After saving, you may need to clear cache in your site (if enabled) and your web browser. You may also need to clear your web browser’s history and restart it.

    Hi @kharisblank

I found the issue why the slider isn’t working. It was a predefined footer with two columns in a row built in siteorigin page builder (now siteorigin panels). If I disable the footer layout (how many columns) the slider is working. But I can’t edit the predefined widgets. Does this issue lead back to sydney theme 2.16 or to Gutenberg blocks in widgets, which can only resolved with the plugin “classic widgets”?

Please mark this thread as resolved if gutenberg block widgets are the issue!

    Thanks,

    Sparen

    Addition:

Or is the issue that you defined a theme support for widgets block editor?

    Thanks,
