Support » Plugin: Nimble Page Builder » too hard to use

  • I just left a 5* review and came back to change it. It’s good for making “Category” lists more attractive by adding headings and dividers. When I wanted to add a header to a static page I couldn’t. I recreated the whole page with NB and published it, but it kept it as a draft and won’t let me edit it. It also changed the fonts instead of using the ones I defined. Lovely for adding touches to lists of posts. Not so good for pages.

Hello, thanks for all your recent feedback.
About this issue : ” I recreated the whole page with NB and published it, but it kept it as a draft and won’t let me edit it” => this is not the normal behavior of Nimble Builder.
It can happen sometimes that we save as draft instead of publishing the changes in the customizer. It might be what happen to your page ? ( more details here : How to save your Nimble Builder sections as draft ? )

Let me know if that helps.

Hello Nicolas, Thanks for your feedback (which was a pleasant surprise). I created the original page in the Classic Editor. NB would not let me edit that page at all. It brought it up with no options to add blocks.

I then tried to create a new page using only NB both in the page editor and from the Customizer. I “updated” from the page and “published” from the customizer. Both times it saved the page as a draft and deleted my content. I gave up and went back to the original page and edited its headers. Then I changed my review. The only thing that might have caused a problem is that the page title was the same in both cases, and it has a left sidebar (Hueman theme) but I couldn’t be bothered to troubleshoot. I’m still developing the site. If I find out what went wrong – or maybe that it was just a glitch – I’ll amend my review again.

As I said, I like it and will continue to use it for category lists of posts. It’s good for adding titles and text to the top of those to make them look like well-formatted pages. I’ve used text, dividers, and headers with good results.
