Support » Fixing WordPress » HELPadded code to 'add custom functions below' in Functions.php now site is down

  • Hi, I really really need help. My theme is ‘Mystile’.

I once added some custom function to take away the welcome message in the WordPress login screen. It worked fine.

I just added some more beneath it, then deleted it as I didn’t want it, and now my whole site is down!

Really need help on this guys…

Thanks so much in advance (obviously I’m quite a newbie to all this)

    Aaron

  • Third paragraph change = I mean I have added some more code underneath that one to take the welcome messages away, then deleted the new code, leaving it to how I thought it was before, then pressing update.

I’ve tried downloading the Mystile theme and copying the functions.php into it again but it still brings me to this message:

    Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.casbahdesign.com/about-us/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

    some please help me!

    thank you, Aaron
