Title: My WordPress is down Last modified: August 30, 2016 --- # My WordPress is down * Resolved [dfoolio](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dfoolio/) * (@dfoolio) * [10 years, 10 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/help-wordpress-is-down/) * So I accidentally changed the URL in general settings and it went down, I did the research and followed the guide from here: * [http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL](http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL) * I performed that to all the function.php files, but now WordPress totally won’t display anything at all. just a blank page and I still cannot log in. I tried applying the same edit to the wp-config.php and still no luck. * This Site was installed on a server for the purpose of an internal network, so I don’t have an outside URL for it. If someone could guide me on how to log in and make any edits I would appreciate it. * Currently have it installed on a windows server 2008 with MySQL running, though I haven’t gotten into the console at all. Is there a guide to that? When I go to the site: * [http://servername/wordpress/](http://servername/wordpress/) * Normally we could see the site, it just is blank completely. * When I try to go to [http://servername/wordpress/wp-admin](http://servername/wordpress/wp-admin) or admin or login * Blank. I restarted the server in hopes that it would come up, but it did not. Thoughts? Thank you again for your quick responses, you have been a life saver. I did some research and found another post where you mentioned with another user that “blank pages are usually PHP errors”. I went back through ALL the files I had initially edited with Notepad++ and found no inconsistencies. I also downloaded a new install of wordpress and compared the php files, no difference (Except obviously the config file). * In kind of a frustrating moment, I just decided to reinstall the WordPress by overwriting all the files from wwwroot, except for the wp-content folder and the wp-config file.
