Sooo here’s how the story goes.

I have GALORESTUDIOS.COM. This website is a reseller hosting account through my web host. WordPress 3.9.1 is installed here. I accidentally edited this WP-CONFIG File to enable WP Multisite.

I have DADSUSEOILSTOO.COM. This website is an account under my above mentioned reseller account. WordPress 3.9.1 is installed here. I also purposely enabled WP Multisite through the WP-CONFIG file here.

NOW, when I go to http://www.dadsuseoilstoo.com/wp-admin/ it tries to redirect to http://www.galorestudios.com/wp-admin/

I thought perhaps the two installations detected each other in some strange way so I thought “I don’t really need my GaloreStudios.com website anymore. So I’ll delete the installation of WordPress off of there.” So I did. It still redirects to the http://www.galorestudios.com/wp-admin/ and now just give sa 404 error (obviously since it’s deleted).

Also, when you go to http://www.dadsuseoilstoo.com/ the page is completely blank and the title bar says “Redirecting”

I assumed this was all an issue with multisite so I decided to get rid of the line in WP-CONFIG that enables it. I deleted the line and it still is having issues.

Keep in mind, this all happened without me even going to the Network Setup page… I could never get to it because of all the redirects.

I wanted to enable Multisite for my DADSUSEOILSTOO.COM domain name. What have I done wrong and how do I fix this??

    Thanks so much in advanced.

  • Looks like you got this sorted?

Why were you enabling multisite in the first place?

I tried enabling it BEFORE I completely realized what it was 🙂 Long story short, Multisite is NOT what I needed lol.

For anyone who has this issue as well, I had to delete my wp-config.php file. Upon loading my website, it had me go through the steps of setting up the installation– of course it detects that it’s already been set up after entering the database information. After you get done with that, the website loads again.
