# help! WordPress database error!!

 * I just imported many posts from my old typepad blog into my wordpress blog, and
   it all works great, except…..
 * when i click on any of the “categories”, it brings all the posts up, but at the
   very top of the page says:
 * WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual
   that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near‘
   WHERE slug = ‘sports” at line 1]
    SELECT term_id FROM WHERE slug = ‘sports’
 * how do i get rid of this?

 * You realize that you bumped your post right out of the “Posts with no responses
   list”, right?
 * Anywho, what happened when you tried the Default theme? Is the error still there
   or is this a theme specific issue?

 * i have not tried another theme…. i do not want to mess with that. i have a lot
   of settings and edits made to my current theme that i dont want to lose.

    The question was: _after switching(
   temporarily) to the default thems – does it work or not?_ Yes? No?
