Here’s the thing that confuses many users initially – WooCommerce products are actually just WordPress posts with a different post type. So when you’re talking to Claude AI, you don’t need special “WooCommerce commands” – you just need to be specific about what you want!
Instead of saying: “create a product” Try saying: “create a WooCommerce product for iPhone 15 Pro with price $999 and stock of 50 units” Or even simpler: “add a new phone to my store – Samsung Galaxy S24, price it at $899” Claude understands the context and will automatically:
- Create the product with proper WooCommerce settings
- Set up pricing and inventory
- Handle all the meta fields for you
- Even generate product images if you ask!
The MCP integration gives Claude access to all WordPress functions, including WooCommerce product management. Just talk to it naturally about what you want to do with your store.
