# Help with upgrade PLEASE

 * Good afternoon,
 * I am having difficulty ‘automatically updating’ word press on my account. I am
   able to download the manual version, but I dont know how to manually install.
   When I try to automatically update it asks for my host name, login and password..
   when I enter the information it says it has trouble connecting to the server.
 * Basically I am trying to upload photos, videos, media to our posts.. however 
   it wont upload any media to the library.. says trouble connecting to server. 
   Our web guy suggested updating word press … I keep going in circles … please 
   help with uploading media, or updating word press or all of the above. I appreciate

 * Sounds to me like the problem is connecting to your database. Can you check those
   credentials in your wp-config.php?

 * This is happening because your hosting provider doesn’t have the permissions 
   on the files associated with your WordPress installation set the way they need
   to be in order for WordPress to make changes to things like plugins, themes, 
   images.
 * The best way to fix it is to contact your hosting company and ask them to install/
   recompile suPHP. You don’t even have to know what that is – they will know, and
   it should fix the issue.
 * A second way, if they won’t do that for you, is to modify your wp-config file
   to remember your FTP credentials for you. You can do that by following these 
   instructions:
