I am trying to enter text in a box that makes use of bullet points. Every time I add bullet points to the text in the 'view' mode it does not show on the front end. Also, if I add bullet point code in the 'html' mode it does not show. Could anyone help me understand why this is? The html I am using is

    • BULLET POINT 1 TEXT
    • BULLET POINT 2 TEXT
    • BULLET POINT 3 TEXT
    • Sound design for visual media

I am using the latest version of wordpress on a mac. Unfortunately I cannot uplaod any examples because I am running my site of a local server. I have no knowledge of CSS and I am brand new to this kind of stuff.

does this happen with the default theme also?
It's probably a CSS rule that's removing the bullets.
Look for list-style: none or list-style-type:none in the stylesheet and try removing the rule.

I am using the boxes option that is available in the pagelines theme, but when I change to the default theme in wordpress I see the boxes option disappears. Does that mean this is pagelines specific?

Also, I went into the theme css folder and found these three:

    byddpress
    ie7
    color
    multisite
    object

I used text wrangler to search for the term 'list-style:' but it couldn't find it.

I suppose. I'd ask the theme author
