Help with sortable excel tables

  • Hi — I used to blog on a friend’s site and he used wordpress. He created an excel file for me which enabled me to format excel code into html. For example, it could produce an output like this:

    <div class=”table_container”>
    <table class=”stats_table sortable”>
    <thead>
    <tr class=”tooltip”>
    <th onmouseover=”Tip(”)”>Header Row</th>
    <th onmouseover=”Tip(”)”>Col 1 Title</th>
    <th onmouseover=”Tip(”)”>Col 2 Title</th>
    </tr>
    </thead>
    <tbody>
    <tr onmouseover=”hl(this)” onmouseout=”uhl(this)”>
    <td align=”left”>Row 1</td>
    <td align=”right”>a</td>
    <td align=”right”>b</td>
    </tr>
    <tr onmouseover=”hl(this)” onmouseout=”uhl(this)”>
    <td align=”left”>Row 2</td>
    <td align=”right”>c</td>
    <td align=”right”>d</td>
    </tr>
    <tr onmouseover=”hl(this)” onmouseout=”uhl(this)”>
    <td align=”left”>Row 3</td>
    <td align=”right”>e</td>
    <td align=”right”>f</td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    </table>
    </div>

    I just started my own wordpress blog, and when I try to put that code into my posts, it gives me a funky looking table. It’s a table (so that’s good) but it’s not lined up well and it’s not sortable.

    Do you know what my friend’s website would have done to make it work? Is there a plug-in or something I would need to download?
