Help with site advice

  • Hi

Could you help me please? Firstl;y, I have adapted the classic theme to include a php menu but I don’t know how to get rid of the sidebar.php! I would also like the colour in the php menu to be black but can’t work out how to change it!

If I could I think I would be tempted to move it to the left and then fill it with an image. Would this then clash with the main content on a smaller screen? I am using a 17″.

The other thing is I want to display a static home page. What info do I need to do this?

    Site url is http://www.cregy.co.uk

  • Can’t really help you with your problem, but remember it’s not the inches of the screen that matters really – it’s the pixels. So you can set your 17″ to 800×600 and see what your site looks like for users with that resolution.

Anyone developing web sites should be using Firefox to do so, and should have the “Web Developer” extension for it installed 😉 It has a resize button that’ll let you instantly resize your browser to various sizes so you can check your page 🙂
