I’ve updated all plugins, and have run a plugin conflict check, and have even switched to a default theme to find out if this is an issue… nothing has resolved it yet. And I need help ASAP!

On my site, when you add a product to the shopping cart, there is a summary pop up at the bottom of the screen that shows a quick view of your cart and what’s in it. If you click the “Checkout” button on that pop up OR click “Cart” in the main menu, it shows that there are no items in your cart!

But if you return to the product page, it will show up in the bottom summary that there is something in your cart. Typically I can click again and it will bring me to a page where I can check out.

Ok, but now, if I’m on the cart page, preparing for checkout, and I click “Remove” and update the cart, it appears as if the item is removed from the cart BUT the item is actually still there. Because if I click through to a new product, add it to the cart, it shows you now have 2 ITEMS in the cart, the one I tried to remove and the new one I just added. The only way to actually remove the items is to click the “Empty Cart” option on the product page pop up summary. This just won’t do! I can’t give my customers instructions on removing and adding items, I just need it to work!

I found a solution. I tried everything that was suggested in other posts – plugin conflict (none), switched to Twenty Twelve theme (same issue still), and finally called my host. They had to disable Varnish, and then it worked perfectly.

Thank you for checking to see if it got fixed!

Glad to hear you managed to find a solution for this and for posting what the solution was for the sake of other members that could possibly experience the same issue.

    Have a great day!
