[Resolved] Help with search page

  • Hello

    I want the change the text that says “Continue reading –>” in the page where search results appear.

    Can anyone tell me in which folder I can find the codes for it so that I can change it?

    I’m using Twenty Eleven.

    Thanks.

    Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. First create a child theme for your changes.

    Sorry. I am using a child theme. I want to copy/paste the code in the child theme. But I can’t find it?

    this is more complex than copy/paste;

    first, you need to remove the filters which add the ‘continue reading’ text to the excerpts, then add new filters with new code, depending on if a search results page is viewed;

    the whole code which needs to be added to functions.php of the child theme, could look like:
    http://pastebin.com/4F5bhk2w

    replace this
    'Search Results Continue Reading <span class="meta-nav">&rarr;</span>'
    with your own version of the ‘continue reading’ text for the search results.

    Awesome thanks, alchymyth!
