# Help with removing DATE from posts

 * I installed a plug-in that let me remove the date from pages and posts, but it
   still leave the word “on” before it? Any advise? Example: by Don Sahli on

 * Generally you can remove those easiest by editing your theme. You’re looking 
   for this on the front page:
 * `<p class="headline_meta">by <span class="author vcard fn">Don Sahli</span> on
   <abbr class="published" title=""></abbr></p>`
 * Either edit the theme to remove all mention of it, or change `headline_meta` 
   to `display:none` in your css.

 * Ipstenu, thank you for suggestion, but when I sent to edit theme this was all
   I found in my code. I didn’t find anything that looked like what i should delete
   to solve issue. Any suggestions are so appreciated! Thank You

 * Never mind – I was looking for the “hard answer” instead of the easy. Thank you
   though. It was a design option to take it off in Byline options.
