  • Those files have been edited by the theme author and should be updated by them as they’ve probably changed or added functionality to them that isn’t standard WooCommerce.

How old is the theme? When was it last updated?

    Hi @seank123

Thanks for your response. “Alex’s theme” is my child theme which was created about 1 year ago. It’s version 2.3.6 as seen here: https://snipboard.io/TVWIof.jpg

It’s been updated with some customizations a couple of months ago.

It just means that whoever created the child theme will need to update those two files by applying whatever changes they made to ones in the current WooCommerce release

Hey @seank123 they didn’t make any changes as they are not familiar with woocommerce. They just created the child theme for me. I added some updated to the child theme but none to:

    dokan/woocommerce/cart/mini-cart.php
    dokan/woocommerce/myaccount/form-login.php

Therefore, do I only need to update these 2 files above & do I paste the update files to wp-content/themes/my-child-theme/ ? or to a specific folder?

If you’re sure they’ve been edited then you don;t need them in the child theme at all – the default WooCommerce ones will be used if you delete them.

To edit the files you need to make the changes that you made to the new versions of the default files – copying the new files over will just erase any changes you made.
