Support » Fixing WordPress » Help With Menu and Sidebars

  • Hellow,

    I am not sure if this is the appropriate forum to ask these quetion, but this is my first time asking, so please redirect me if I am in the wrong place.

    1. I would like to know how to align my menu bar so that the contacts section is not falling below the line.
    2. Also, I see I have a widget in the footer section on each page. However, I would like to add sidebar widgets to each page with a few of my articles posted that are pertinent to that section, and only keep all of the articles in the footer in the homepage. Evertyime I try to follow the steps to make a sidebar, I end up only viewing the footer, but I do not see how to make a sidebar for specific pages. Is it possible to change this?

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,
    Benjamin Meyer, LCSW

  • You could try to use a smaller site-title:
    .site-title {
    font-size: 1rem;
    }
    to be added to your Additional CSS.

    Or maybe a line-break: “Psychotherapist-Benjamin Meyer,<br/>LCSW -Bergen Counnty, NJ”

    Are you sure ‘Counnty’ is with ‘nn’?

    2. You are using the default page-template. It looks to me as if this page-template has no sidebar.
    In my own wordpress-theme I can choose between “full-width-page-template” and “Page-template with sidebar”.
    Look for each page at the page-properties.

    Dear Willem,

    Thank you for your suggestions! I fixed the tittle, but where would I find the page-properties that you are talking about? Thank again.

    Hi Benjamin,
    I’m afraid I can’t help you much.
    Using my theme, it ‘s in Dashboard > Pages > (Select Page) > Edit Page: “Page-Properties” (in the right column).
    Or maybe Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Page-setup (or something like). This depends on the Theme you’re using. Read the Help for your Theme.
