New to WordPress (and blogging in general). I have been working on a videogame blog for a little while now while trying to get my head around wordpress. I recently wanted to revamp the site and I purchased a theme from ThemeForest. It’s called Imperial and is geared towards videogame blogs.

    My site is ‘www.sitsam.com’

I installed the theme but have run into several features and cannot figure out where the root cause of the problems lies.

First, the theme has custom settings that allow you to add many social networking profiles and then adds those to buttons on the theme. When I add any of my usernames/profiles in the provided blank spaces the links end up showing up incorrectly. The link ends up being ‘www.sitsam.com/sitsambry’ instead of ‘www.twitter.com/sitsambry’
The same thing happens with all the other profile links built into the theme. I checked the code but with my limited knowledge in this I’m not sure what i’m looking for.

The second problem is a feature in the theme that adds thumbnails of images from posts to a features section on the homepage. maybe because i’m trying to transition my site to the new theme instead of starting fresh.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Bryan

  • If you bought this theme from ThemeForest, then you really should be using their support forums. Since this is a paid theme, the majority of people on the WP.org forums don’t have access to the code, and therefore can’t help you.
