 * Hi,
 * I am new to using wordpress and html, but I can pick things up rather fast..(
   at least I think). My problem is that with my blog the pictures are fine in Firefox
   but are misplaced and cut off in IE. I have searched and have no clue what to
   do…any help would be wonderful!! Even if it is just pushing me in the right direction
   to search myself!! Just lost here!!
    Thanks… [http://www.jamiewrightphotography.com/blog](http://www.jamiewrightphotography.com/blog)

 * Before asking anything… you should immediately resize your images! It should
   be considered a crime to put several 500KB images on a site’s frontpage 😉
    It
   takes ages to download on a fast cable connection.
 * No, not the pixel size, but file size: down to 30-40KB.

 * Hi Jamie,
 * rudolf45 is right in saying that your images are too large file size-wise, but
   they’re also not adequately sized from a pixel perspective.
 * If you right-click on one of the images on your home page, and choose ‘View Image’(
   or the like) you’ll see that these are actually several times the size they need
   to be.
 * So for example, the alli-111_015.jpg pic in your uploads directory is being displayed
   at 245px x 355px, but it’s actually 532px x 773px. Plus, as rudolf mentioned,
   the file size is too high – this picture is about half a Megabyte: 557.88 KB.
 * So, I’d suggest using an image editing application to resize and compress the
   photo before uploading to speed it up.
 * My guess is that you’ll find that some of your IE display issues go away. If
   not, then you’ll know it’s not due to faulty browser resizing, etc.
 * Hope that helps.
