Help with editing a plugin

  • Based on the first link, I’m guessing it’s an option in your theme. The first things to try are always deactivating all plugins and switching to the default theme to rule out whether a problem is being caused by a plugin or your theme.

If I disable the plugin wouldn’t that section in the cms disappear? There is no dev environment set up for this and I’m afraid to mess with things in case something breaks

if it helps this is the actual url http://handatravelgroup.com/contact/

What makes you so sure it’s being caused by a plugin? It could be the theme. If you deactivate a plugin or theme you can just reactivate it without doing any harm.

I deactivate it and the entire “Brands” section in the cms disappears so I can no longer see this http://www.studenttrip.com/errors/problem1.png

You deactivate what? It’s not really clear to me what you are trying to accomplish.

The plugin creates a section on the website called “Brands” inside that are a bunch of brands and when you dig into each one you can set things like hours of operation, address, images, etc. The section where you put the images is “problem1.png” and for some reason it shows that icon that says the image is missing. Whenever I try to upload a photo it doesn’t stay either it disappears.

I don’t know how this stuff was built but I have to somehow figure out in the code what went wrong or my next option is to do this page static.

    What plugin?

In the plugins section it’s called “Brands”, I believe it’s written by a previous developer at my work.

Perhaps this is something too difficult to solve. I feel like I don’t know what information I can provide as I know next to nothing about this WordPress stuff.

If it’s a custom plugin, nobody here is going to be able to guess as to how to fix it. Maybe there is a stock plugin that will do what you want. If not, you can hire someone at http://jobs.wordpress.net/
