    Hello!
Since February 19, 2018 I have been receive two identical email notifications from Woo Commerce for new orders (plus the one I get from Paypal).

Looking at WooCommerce>Settings>Emails, the only emails Enabled for Recipient: Orders@MyCompanyName.com are for New Orders, Cancelled orders, and Failed Orders; all other email notifications enabled are for “Customer”.

Is there anyplace else I need to “uncheck” or anything else to suggest I investigate/troubleshoot?

Wish I could upload an image, but I don’t see how….

Note: The site was set up by a web designer and I’m a somewhat competent but fairly basic backend user…

    THANK YOU!!!

Find an order that sent out double emails to you and look at the order notes section. What do you see? Is there perhaps a message for “PayPal IPN” complete and a message for “PayPal PDN” complete?

There were four notes all at the same moment in time (although the first two are identical?!?) Do they help with the solution, by chance?

Yep, that’s the problem. Should not have both IPN and PDT enabled – PayPal is reaching back to your site twice to confirm the payment, so emails are being triggered twice (and stock reduction).

Disable either the IPN or PDT: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/paypal-standard/#section-29

Does it matter which I disable? And is this IN paypal settings somewhere or in Woo Commerce?

(I’ll read the link you provide but just in case it’s an easy answer for you…)

    THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

These settings are in PayPal. See the above link for where.

PDT isn’t enabled by default, so you must have enabled that at some point maybe for a specific reason?

I would look at older orders and see if both of them are coming through every time. If sometimes one is missing (like IPN), disable that one. Otherwise it shouldn’t matter.

So..I found IPN but can not locate how to enable or disable Payment Data Transfer.

I FOUND IT!!!! Thanks. Now to wait for a sale and make sure I get a notification…and only one:

    Hi @scraperfect,

Let us know if that works out!
