Help with Codium

  • I am new to both webdesign and wordpress and am making a website for a project in an epublishing class. bikethedistrict.com

    I’m using Codium 1.0.8, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to edit the “About” box at the right that currently says “Codium is a minimalist theme wich can be customize quite easily. Have fun with it!” I would appreciate some advice on this!

    THANKS!

    That text is most likely coming from the widgets. Look under appearance > Widgets and you should see a sidebar there.

    If not look in the sidebar.php template.

    Thanks Christine. I did try that, and there are no widgets in either the top or bottom sidebar.

    That’s very strange, because in the source code, I see this:

    <li id="description" class="widget widget_text">
    	<div class="widgetblock">
    	<div class="widgettitleb"><h3 class="widgettitle">About</h3></div>
    	<p>Codium is a minimalist theme wich can be customize quite easily. Have fun with it!</p>

    	</div>
    	</li>

    The class=”widget widget_text” is usually generated by using the widgets.

    What does your sidebar.php look like? Can you paste your code in pastebin?

    Figured it out. You’re right, it was in the sidebar.php. THANKS!

    This is the defaut text, drag a widget an it will be remove or directly hack the sidebar.php

    If it’s ok please mark this post as resolve!
