Help With Changing Color

  • I’m needing some help with my WP site:
    It’s at: http://www.juliaormondfans.com

Here’s my situation–I paid for someone to set up my theme/layout & they did. But they also lost their dad about 3 days ago. I like my site okay, but I’d like the colors to be a bit darker. And I’m not completely sure what folder to go into to play around with the colors. And my designer I paid for isn’t accepting any more requests.

Am I able to darken the site up a bit?

Thank you so much for the help.

The stylesheet for your site is located at /wp-content/themes/JuliaTan/style.css

Make sure you make a backup of the file and know can restore it before editing the stylesheet.

If you want to hire someone to help you with this, you can post a job at http://jobs.wordpress.net

The issue with that layout is that many of the backgrounds are controlled by images rather than CSS formatting, making it more difficult to customise. Evidently the designer constructed the layout in Photoshop or a similar image-editing program, sliced it up and exported it. (I never do that when designing sites for this very reason.)

If you had access to the image source file (and the appropriate software needed to edit it), that would make things easier (either for you or for anyone else who was helping you with it.

    Thank you both.
Cyril, do you do WP design?
I need some help. Thanks. 🙂
