help with bbPress invalid post type

    Hi everyone,

    I’m hoping someone can help. I just installed bbPress and it isn’t working.
    When I try to create a new forum, at the following URL (eg) http://www.server.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=forum

    I get the following error: Invalid post type

    which says to me the installation wasn’t successful, but the admin backend seems to be working fine. That is, I can modify the forum settings, but when I try to create a forum/topic/reply I just get errors.

    Should I re-install bbPress? I’m not sure where/how the forum post type gets added to WordPress.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Good news!
    I deactivated Advanced Access Manager and bbPress now seems to work.

    Bad news, i don’t understand how Advanced Access Manager interferes with which post types are available.

    If you have some insight, I’d love to hear what could be causing this.
