I am relatively new to the world of Webdev and WordPress and I’m in the middle of building a simple site for my local hairdresser, and using the process as a learning tool.
However I am struggling with a little white bar appearing right underneath the banner image I’ve placed as the footer. It’s very noticable due to the way I’ve painted the corners of the images to match the background colour.
I’ve searched this forum, and google, and have tried all of the suggestions I could find, with no luck! Can anybody out the help me out at all?
I’ve tried adding some sort of ‘.hentry’ thing, as well as just removing the entire /* Footer */ section from the style.css sheet in the editor. I placed the link to the footer image into the footer.php file like I was instructed. Was that the right thing to do?
Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. Create a child theme for your changes.
