    Hello. Forgive me. I’ve designed my own website previously but am not working with WordPress – hosted by wordpress.

    It is not possible for me to edit the HTML for my wordpress site? Blogger allows editing of HTML. I cannot see a way to to do this. Please help. Thanks.

    Hello. Thanks for the quick reply. Yes…wordpress.COM.

    I just signed up with wordpress.com – trying to get my website back up and running -but hosted by wordpress.com.

    It doesn’t appear that if I am using their cookie-cutter templates that I can edit the HTML/Source code (blogger has this option) – but I haven’t been able to find something similar on wordpress. I think it’s not possible. But, just checking. I would prefer wordpress over blogger, though!

    Thanks!

    If you have a blog hosted on wordpress.com – you can not edit the themes.
    You need your own WP install (on your domain) to enjoy all the features WordPress can offer.

    Bummer. As already indicated…blogger has this option – use their templates but able to edit HTML/source code for template. Guess I’ll have to go with blogger until I find another host.

    And just for future reference: the support forum for blogs hosted on wordpress.com is here:

    @oneangrygirl:

    Hey, they’ll be sorry to see you leave.

    But: As you are eager to fine tune your blog and make it your own, why not get a good and not too expensive service provider to host your own WordPress. It is easy to install, lots of themes are available and you can choose one with a structure you like. From within WP you can then tune away to your hearts content:
