Hello Florian,
I checked #tr_TR translations but there are lots of problems. Generally speaking the quality of the translations are low. Translator didn’t even paid attention to glossary, lots of typos and spelling errors. If you’re in contact with the translator you can forward him/her to our locale Slack. (https://www.wp-tr.org/slack/)
Hi Emre,
thanks for checking! We’ll try to contact the translator!
I took a look on #pl_PL and I have similar comments: poor translation, no glossary used at all, wrong grammar in Polish, typos.
Marcin
Thanks for checking, @iworks!
I’ll try to contact the translator and let them know about the handbook/glossary, etc.

Hi Marcin,
Polish translation has been stuck again, how can i help?
There is a ton of well translated strings (or well enough, some are extremelly hard without real live context), they just need authorization.
Personnaly i really need this, couse i use plugin to my work with POLISH clients.
AFAIK picu fron @florianziegler is best plugin for photographers out there yet, though it needs transaltions.Maciej
@iworks
Hi Marcin,
Thanks for your work, it moved a little bit, but still a ton to do. 125 strings.
How can I help?
You have thrown out 2 of 3 similar strings: picu small, picu medium, picu large.
AFAIK they are untranslatable as such. If I uderstand correctly, those are strings to select size of gallery grid in pro (paid version) not seen by free users.
@florianziegler correct me if im wrong.
It should by something like: picu małe/średnie lub kolumny małe/średnie or something like that, dunno how to translate it better.double post

Hi @saretar
please read:
https://codex.wordpress.org/pl:Konwencje_przyj%C4%99te_w_polskim_t%C5%82umaczeniu_WordPressa
- Translate “image” as “zdjęcie” is not correct, please replace it to “obrazek”.
- A personal pronoun should not start with capital letter (only in emails).
- On Polish we do not translate “This” on screen with “This” – it is senseless, please change “Ta kolekcja” to simple “Kolekcja”.
- Gener neutral or pasive form, example: “Zatwierdziłeś tę kolekcję.” – what if editor is a woman? better: “Kolekcja została zatwierdzona”.

Hi @iworks
Thanks for Your work.
For numbers 2-4 i’ll check all awaiting strings, not a problem.
But I’ve a question. Could we use sometimes “Zatwierdziłaś/eś” instead of this terrible formal passive form? Now for 1. This plugin sole porpose is to use by proffesional photographers to communicate with their paid clients. I’m one of them. We never ever use “obrazki” to our clients. “Obrazki” are snapshots, meme’s or cliparts, but never our photographs. I know that @florianziegler, as creator, decided to use images instead of pictures. His choice, but in english its much more mixed in levels of formality. One can use images and pictures more or less simmilarly. Not in Polish, “obrazki” to describe our photographs are banned of our terms inside our community.
Try to imagine: “Wybierz obrazki, za które zapłaciłeś 4 tysiące…”“fotografie” are a little bit to formal, we use it when we describe our work. Most commonly we use “zdjęcia” in communication. Every proffesional portal use this term.
