  • Resolved Anuradha Edirisuriya

    I have been using TwentyTen Child Theme – TwentyTen Church for my website. The problem I have faced so far is that when I add a text widget and enter some text or add any image linking to external source, it wraps with the site’s link.

    For example;

    I entered the text “Find me on facebook” and linked it like below.

    <a title="Find Us" target="_blank" href="">Find me on facebook</a>

    Then I saved it and clicked to test it. But I was directed to,

    not to Why does this happen? Any solution will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    this is what the browser sees in the textwidget:
    <a title="Find Us" target="_blank" href="bandaranayakecollege"><img src="" /></a>
    double check it and insert the intended link.

    Sorry, my bad. Even if I put that code, it directs me to not to bandaranayakecollege.

    I corrected it now. The text, “Find me on facebook” is replaced with the image.

    <a title="Find Us" target="_blank" href=""><img src=""/></a>

    Something is wrapping the code it put there. I can’t figure out why that happens.

    try and use http:// with all absolute link urls;

    <a title="Find Us" target="_blank" href=""><img src=""/></a>

    Now it works. Thank you very much.

    Hi, I am new to HTML and have followed the instructions in the text widget for placing an image– here is the code:

    <img src=”” width=”200″ />

    Now I would like to link that image to another website, opening in a separate window. I have searched these forums before asking, but being new to HTML, I didn’t understand some of the responses. One responder said to look it up on W3 School, but I was lost there too. Any help is appreciated.

    <a title="your-website-name" target="_blank" href="your-website-url"><img src="" width="200" /></a>

    Copy and paste this in text widget and rename “your-website-name” and “your-website-url” to relevant name and url.

    Thank you very much! This worked great.
