Help! Trying to transfer customized WordPress site from 1 hosting co. to another (4 posts)

    Hey guys,

I primarily use Hostgator for all of my website hosting. However, I manage a website for a client of mine who has the website hosted with Ipage...

The hosting with Ipage isn't great and our website has been taking forever to load recently, so I want to move it to be hosted with me, in my Hostgator account, which I think is much better..

Here's the kicker -- I made a lot of customizations to the WordPress theme through both FTP and the WP dashboard, so I don't want to lose any of those customizations when moving the website's hosted location. Make sense?

How can I switch hosting providers without losing any of those customizations I made to the WordPress theme? I want the website to be exactly the same, just different hosting.

ANY help would be extremely appreciated. I'm not very savy when it comes to this stuff.

By the way, the website is - http://www.pictureyourmoments.com - incase that it needed for any reason. Thanks so much!

Use this plugin, it is amazing: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/

Seriously, it's a life saver. Watch the video and it should all make sense. It's pretty self-explanatory.

The free version works really well, too. Probably no need for the premium version.
