  • I’m having an issue getting Simply Static working on a simple test blog.

    WordPress is installed in https://prepaidcompare.net/wordpress which uses basic authentication.

    Simply Static’s outbook directory is https://prepaidcompare.net/blog/ which is publicly accessible.

    Simply Static is correctly creating the site’s one post and two pages in subdirectories of /blog/ For example: https://prepaidcompare.net/blog/2019/01/31/hello-world/

    The issue is that /blog/index.html which should be the static site’s homepage with links to the static post and pages, redirects to https://prepaidcompare.net/wordpress which is not a static site and is not public. Here’s index.html:

    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html>
    	<head>
    		<title>Redirecting...</title>
    		<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=http://prepaidcompare.net/wordpress/">
    	</head>
    	<body>
    		<script type="text/javascript">
    			window.location = "http://prepaidcompare.net/wordpress/";
    		</script>

    		<p>You are being redirected to <a href="http://prepaidcompare.net/wordpress/">http://prepaidcompare.net/wordpress/</a></p>
    	</body>
    </html>

    How can I get Simply Static to create a proper home page?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
