    – I have imported the XML (Twenty Eleven-Child)file into WP on my domain.
    – I was following the instructions from the “upgrade” on Twenty Eleven but then i ran into a problem on the directories at my domain and I had to wait until Support sorted it out.
    – Now that everything is working again, I can’t find the original Twenty Eleven-Child instructions so that I can complete this website.

Also, I am finding the instructions somewhat confusing and I would appreciate it if someone would help me along the way.

My website is a simple one, but it’s been a real challenge for me over the past 2 months and it shouldn’t be…. maybe i’m just thick!!!

Anyway, at the moment when I display my site am getting both “child” and then the “parent” so I need to know how to stop the parent from coming up and then modify the child.

    Thanks, Monaleasaa

PS.. I really want to get this straight in my head because I like working with WP, but I am in need of help…lol

The child theme should be the active theme in use.

Any changes made in the child theme folder (style.css, function.php, etc) will then be used over the parent.

My Child theme comes up when I go to my website, however when I click one of the menu items, the site go immediately over to the parent.

    How do i stop this?
