    This project is built on Help Scout’s Mailbox API 1.0. We announced the retirement of Mailbox API 1.0 last year and will end support on June 6, 2019. To ensure that all integrations continue to function properly, they must be moved to Mailbox API 2.0. If you have any questions about how to migrate to the new API, please reach out to the Help Scout team. We’re here to help!

    Just wondering if this is good to go now and ok to still use?

    Thanks for letting us know @roach7. I wondered why it stopped working for us several months ago.

    Hi @truebird! Andrew turned the plugin over to us, and we’ve updated it to support the Help Scout 2.0 API. You will need to update to the new 2.0 version of the plugin, and then create a new app in Help Scout under Your Profile > My Apps. Then put those credentials into the plugins’s settings, click the button, and authorize the app to have access to your account. Everything should then work as it has.

    If it doesn’t. Start a new thread here in the forums and we’ll work with you to get it sorted out. Thanks!

    Fantastic and thanks for letting me know!

    I will test it all out.

    Also, I was wondering, I would love to actually be able to include some feedback comments from Help Scout that would show up as well. My idea is that if we got permission from the person, we could add a special tag to the conversation (or some other way) in Help Scout to where it would be pushed out to the plugin for availability. Then, in the plugin somewhere in the settings we could grab a embed code/shortcode and create some basic look and feel (like show 4 across with 4 rows or however one wanted to show them) and scroll left every x seconds or not scroll them). Randomize them or show in a certain order etc. Starting with basic ability and then adding more features over time as you can would be great. What are your thoughts on something like that?

    🙂

    Hi Greg!

    We could consider doing something like that in the future. You might want to look at Fomo.com which can display those. I’ve asked both WPFomify and NotificationX if they’ll be adding that to theirs.

    Though I imagine this would be more in-line in the page/post area. Definitely something we can look into. But for right now, we’ll just see if it gets much use as it is.

    @thefiddler Ah…cool…I see.

    Sounds like a plan…

    Thanks for the recommendations. I will check those out.

    🙂
