I found out the following problem on my website:
When you add an accompanying product, namely an apseal, one of the added goods has variations (being a simple commodity). This situation is most likely due to the fact that when I created this product I copied a similar variant product and made it simple.

I was wondering what would happen if I add one of the variations as an apseal and click on it. Clicking on the added variation of the product, I redirected to the parent product.

I decided that fixing the problem would be helped by re-creating the attribute of the product, which is used for variation. I deleted this attribute and created it again.
To make sure that the problem is solved I go to the editor of any other product and try to add a problem product as an apseal. I see that now the problem has a slightly different look). Now instead of variations of the goods 11 identical simple goods are displayed. If I’m not mistaken, then I need to clean the database.

The screenshot shows that adding the apseal, the same product is repeated in the list.

How can I delete an existing duplicate from a particular product?

So products are showing up as duplicated in the cross-sells up-sells area?

Check the trash folder for products and make sure that is empty. Then also try WooCommerce > Status > Tools and delete orphaned variations.

Yes, when i want to add up-sells. Look at screenshot.
Also I used woocommerce>Status>Tools and I got result “deleted orphaned variations=0”

That likely means the variations are still actively attached to a product. This probably happens when you duplicated variable products then turned them simple without deleting variations. I’d recommend recreating your simple products from scratch rather than duplicating a variable product.

You are right, I copied and edited these products and removed the variations and made the good simple. but so I downturned more than once and I’m wondering, the only method is manual search of goods and their re-creation? can there be an opportunity to solve this task in less time?

at the same time I ask you for advice on automating the process of filling the store with goods, since the manual method requires a lot of time. advise any articles or other materials on this topic. thanks in advance.

CSV importing exporting is the fastest way to create products: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/

Also a good way to find a list of the variations that exist that you don’t need.
