Looks like sort of the same issue as this topic. But i cant find a solution.

I´m having an issue with the og:image for facebook. When i want to post my url http://www.footprintfestival.nl on facebook, it shows constantly the same image on facebook.

There’s a whole serie og:images in the code of yoast on my sourcecode site. There coming more og:image properties trough Yoast somehow it looks like.

I re setup YOAST, I updated yoast (yesterday), I cached my site.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the post! We have an open issue here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/7542 where duplicate og:image tags are appearing in the source code. We suggest commenting on the issue so you may be kept aware of any updates. You may need an account. We would like some more information.

Can you confirm that if you re-move the images you may have set for Facebook on the post/page AND also the default Facebook image you have in the SEO->Social->Facebook section the issue is resolved?

Does the issue resolve if you enter the same image for both the default Facebook image AND the Facebook image for the frontpage?

    Let us know.

    Hello,

Thats an old Yoast, i got a newer version.

I removed the picture and uploaded it back in my gallery… And it keeps on happening. What i do see is that all these images are unatached. While they actually are attached. I really dont know what to do.

    ?

We are not sure why exactly the multiple og:image tags are being outputted on your specific site. Though, it does appear this is may be expected behavior. If you were to add a specific social image on the page, Yoast will then consistently output that one image. All the other og:image tags will drop off and only one og:image tag should appear.

    See step 4 here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/7555.

If you were to add an image in the social section does the issue of having more than one og:image tag then resolve?
