I’ve just looked on my site and something’s gone wrong… I pre-warn you, I have limited experience in wordpress.org and css, etc…

In the widgets for content top section, content bottom section, etc, the featured images for blog posts have been enlarged to full size instead of thumbnails. I have no idea how to correct this – please help!

    Hi,
You used the regenerate thumbnail plugin?
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

Greetings! Same problem for me too. I have touched nothing in the CSS code and no plugin affects images, size or anything.

Strangely, this occured at around the same time (I noticed it on my site yesterday). It only appears that way on Firefox, mind you, and Chrome works like a charm. What could be the problem?

    Hi,

When you change theme, it is necessary to use the “Regenerate Thumbnail” plugin to create thumbnails to the right size for the theme, is what has been done?
But already your images do more than 880 width?

The recommended image sizes for this theme are:-

392px * 272px for the TG: Highlighted Posts widget.
390px * 205px for the TG: Vertical Featured Post widget as well as TG: Featured Posts widget too for first image.
130px * 90px for the TG: Vertical Featured Post widget as well as TG: Featured Posts widget too for images which are from the second one, ie, after the first image.
800px * 445px for the TG: Featured Cat Slider widget as well as for the archive pages too.Recommended Image sizes

Mine’s the same, I didn’t change the theme, I didn’t change the CSS or anything. It was showing correctly with the right featured image sizing and then one day just changed to oversized photos… I just thought it was so strange as I hadn’t changed anything.

I’m looking at it in Firefox as well so not sure if that’s something to do with it?

I will download the plugin and see if it helps…

You have the latest version of the theme?

Especially your site, even the disabled themes are up-to-date?
    all active, non-active plugins updated?
    WorDPress 4.3.1 ?

Can be the url of your site?
    Thanx

Everything is up to date, I have 4.3.1, all plugins updated.

I’ve downloaded Regenerate Thumbnails as per your suggestion. But from what I can tell this regenerates them based on the dimensions in the Media settings. The dimensions you have specified above are for specific ares of the homepage – highlighted posts, slider, etc. But the media settings are just Thumbnail / Medium / Large so I’m not entirely sure which sizes to go for…

Sorry if this is really basic stuff, like I said I’m new to WordPress.org so it’s a learning curve!

    Hi,

It is necessary to change the ettings in Settings and Media, depending on the theme.

You see just Thumbnail, Medium, Wide but there are other sizes require the theme which will also cut, you can see them by FTP software FileZilla in wp-content/uploads/2015/12 /.

Images in real size must not exceed 1024 pixels large, maximum 1100 pixels large, so the images will be visible on all the visitors screen
unless they need to touch the scrollbar.

More images will be lighter so quicker to be displayed

The ‘Regenerate Thumbnails’ plugin fixed it! Thanks all!

    Hi,
Happy for you, just think good name your images, maximum 5 keywords that describe your image.
not having named im01 ou image-01 ou slider-01, etc..

@crashokami: Have you solved your problem?
