Thank you in advance. I could find no other posts that were helpful.
I have installed the Simple Membership plugin. I need a plugin that lets prospective subscribers sign and and select their membership level and have the same level assigned to them. I CANNOT get this plugin to to cooperate. I am at the point where I get the following message: “Paste the code below in the “Add advanced variables” field of your PayPal button …”
The code I am supposed to post is `notify_url=http://<redacted>.com/?swpm_process_ipn=1
custom=subsc_ref=3`WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO PASTE THIS? There is no field labeled “”Add advanced variables”” in any paypal button I am using.
HELP.

It is rather confusing. It isn’t clear that the Advanced Variables are on the PayPal site for button creation and that this process is unnecessary if creating the button “inside” simple membership. It tok me a while to figure this out. If I am wrong then you really need to review your documentation but in any case you should say something on the Payment Settings page to the effect that this process is for use on the PayPal site
