Help on maximizing yoast plugin

    Just installed yoast plugin and wondered if someone can give me some guidance and/or reference sites to get the most out of yoast.
    I integrated my bog with my primary website and wondered if the sitemap generator will pick up the pages from my existing sitemap and the newly added blog or just the blog pages. If I am able to edit the sitemap, (after generation) I can always integrate manually I guess. Can someone tell me if this would be the way to handle it.
