  • hi ppl,
i need help or any hints on how to use url-rewriting. i set up ultimate tag warrior and also followed all the installation steps listed there. i had no url-rewriting set before, so the whole tagging makes no sense now.
which url-rewrite rules are you guys using?

  • please, need some examples on how you ppl from the forum use mod_rewrite url redirecting. especially for “ultimate tag warrior” but also for other purposes!
    thanks a lot

    Hiya!

You need a file named “.htaccess” in your root directory; then, go to Options > Permalinks in the wordpress admin thingy.

If there’s a message along the lines of “if your .htaccess was writeable this would be automatic”, grab the rules from the box, and put them in your .htaccess file (otherwise, just click the update permalinks button).

    Hope this helps!

(I’m a little hazy on url-rewriting myself.. it’s miraculous that it works at all (; )

The Using Permalinks article in the WordPress Codex should help.
