    i was wandering has anyone come up with a solution to this problem? i’m generating an image through ajax, and with “always show” the share buttons don’t appear (unlike with “show on mouse enter”) …

    if i may add, it seems to me the ajax is not the problem – the modal is. i’ve put two images in modal: one fixed (so to speak), one variable (created by ajax call), and there are no share buttons on either of them …

    Yes, you are right about modal window. This can be the problem.
    Please tell me what modal box you are using? Do you use any WP plugin for it for maybe some js library?

    i’m pretty much a newbie here, so it’s a plain vanilla js modal, returned by custom php code. anyway, i’ve managed to solve the issue, by putting the shortcode ([sti_buttons …], with pre-defined values for image, link and description to share) into the modal (right above the image). this way, php and js (via ajax) handle the output (image, and the shortcode along the way), and the “share this image” toolbar is always there. crude, perhaps, but it works …

    btw, great plugin! simple and efficient, just what i needed!
