HELP need a bit of guidance

    I have been looking at all the usual eg, Joomla, Drupal Postnuke etc etc
    I am trying to get a school website up and running and to tell you the truth have been hitting my head of the wall for weeks. I have been pointed to WordPress. I am looking for just a basic site adding pages etc with nice menu and customisable theme etc. Is this the right package.

    It might be… although not knowing more specifics about the planned site, nobody can advise it for sure.

    You can find many examples where people are using WP more as a CMS, and it doesn’t look like a blog – although, primarily, it is a blogging tool.
    It is flexible enough to manage all kind of sites, but when it comes about customizing, it depends very much on the level of your skills. If this is your first adventure with (X)HTML and CSS… it will be tough.
