Someone asked me on my site where is my blogroll. When I tried to install auto-blogroll I got this instead of my website: Warning: fopen(/home/erniesho/public_html/home/erniesho/public_html/wp-content/uploads/links.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/erniesho/public_html/wp-content/plugins/auto-blogroll/ab_function.php on line 701
No permission to write, Please change plugin folder to 0777 ./home/erniesho/public_html/wp-content/plugins/auto-blogroll

    What is going on?

  • It’s mad about the plugin. If you can’t get into your admin area to uninstall it then you can connect via FTP and either change the permissions on the plugin folder to 777, or just delete it.

I downloaded the plugin. Do you mean clear the folder in the FTP?

Try logging into your admin panel and disabling the plugin. If you are unable to log into your admin panel, connect via FTP and navigate to: wp-content/plugins/

Delete the auto-blogroll folder to delete the plugin.

I went to the file manager and found it under /public_html/wp-content/plugins and now my website is back. Thanks so much.

Now how do put a blogroll on my site?

Never mind about the blogroll. I had it hidden behind a widget.
