My members emails are showing up on Google.

    please help! hey guys, Ive got a huge problem…Im running a private site with sensitive data and my members have come across to theie emails and other members emails in the top of google search, omg, this is aweful. It shows their full emails and something like “activity stream”, how much they have spent on the site and so on. I had installed buddypress months ago and removed it 24hrs later, maybe there is something left and it’s making private emails available on any search engine, if they start receiving spams because of me I would be in a bit of trouble….please help!!!!

    PS: i also use sentry with user levels. nothing there looks anomalous.

    Google would not list ’emails’ – it may list comments (that some errant plugin, theme, or code uses then sends them as emails)

    You can control what is indexed and listed at search engines.
