[Resolved] Help me remove Google ads

  • I had Google AdSense on my blog (dearchristiancounselor.com), and I removed it by deleting the sidebar widgets which contained the ad text. However, there is one ad still showing at the bottom of my posts. I cannot figure out where it is coming from as I do not see any widgets OR plugins that would be causing it. I don’t have a modified “footer” file in my FTP files or any CSS code for it, either. If anyone can tell me where to look – or any way to delete my AdSense account entirely, that would be very helpful. Thank you.

  • If it’s at the bottom of posts, the code may have been manually inserted into the single.php template, so check there and see if removing it works.

It was in the index.php file for my child theme. In fact, that was all that was in that particular file, so when I deleted it, the problem was solved. I also had ads in the sidebar widgets, but those were easier to find. Thanks.
