Help me please!! my site went blank :(

    Hello,

    I have builded quite alot on my website,
    now i tried to get an search bar on my site (i believe i removed
    it some where in the beginning) and now i found this
    code that i had to ad on the header.php file.

    They told me i had to open header.php than paste this:

    <div class=”header-search”><?php get_search_form(); ?></div>

    in the bottom of it than you would have the search bar (not yet perfect but you would have a search bar ^^ )

    i used adobe dreamweaver for this, and when i uploaded it to the site my whole site went blank. I ctrl+z’ed it all and uploaded it again but that didn’t work. I also tried to upload all files again but that didn’t work ether.

    Can pleaaseee some one help me? i have putted alot of hours in it so it reallt sucks 🙁

    Hi,

    Can you re-download a new copy of whichever theme you are using. Extract the header.php file from the zip file & replace it with what’s already on your site (in effect, ensuring you’ve completely reversed anything you’ve done)

    That should do it.

    If also, you can let us know what Plugin you tried to use (if it was a Plugin you used) and also what Theme you are using?

    this worked 😀
    there are now only a few things gone but that’s not alot of work (:

    I wasn’t trying to get a Plugin on the site, but on my website i have no search bar and like i said i found this on youtube that when you put the code:

    <div class=”header-search”><?php get_search_form(); ?></div>

    in the bottem of the header file it would give you a searchbar (worked for that guy) but after i did that my site became blank and even when i deleted that line it still wouldn’t work.

    I am using the wootique theme.

    ps. I now have installed Ajax Search Lite and it works incredible!
